MYANMAR
Mandalay is the
ideal base for visiting the most interesting parts of Myanmar:

Take the train
up into the cooler regions of the Shan State and do some
trekking in Hsipaw; cross the historic Gokteik Viaduct on
the way.

Take a shared
taxi to Inle Lake or stop off in Kalaw and hike down to Inle
(3 days guided walk). The new highway from Mandaly makes
this by far the best route into the Inle region.

Take the boat
down the Irrawady to Bagan. We will book your ticket and get
you to the jetty on time (with a complimentary lunchbox).

Fly north into
the parts of Myanmar still hardly visited by tourists. A
wealth of folklore and festivals await the discerning
traveller. Then return to Mandalay by riverboat through
breathtaking scenery.
